With the gorgeous summer weather we've been enjoying and also the relaxed, outdoor lifestyle it brings, it truly is the perfect time to share today's wedding.
I have a fascination with this intimate July celebration which oozes relaxed wedding vibes and laid-back, DIY charm – and prepare to fall madly in love with this divine gown. The wedding couple is, who's self-employed and runs and, an internet developer.
Becky's long-sleeved gown boasts probably the most exquisite floral embroidery on its bodice and skirt and extremely epitomizes the bride-to-be's breezy, relaxed vibe. I love this style because of its ethereal elegance and subtly boho vibe.
"I knew I didn't desire a traditional dress. I didn't desire a dress that felt enjoy it was wearing me, all structured and high and uncomfortable. I wanted unique, something just a little different, then one very 'me'."
The bride chose her and her bridesmaids to create their hair and make-up themselves, and she or he left her hair down in pretty, boho-inspired waves.
"I loved the ceremony, walking on the aisle to my future husband and seeing my family and friends smiling. It was overwhelming but one of the moments that sticks I believe from your day."
Bridesmaid Hatty first introduced Becky and Andy when he was at university in Southampton. There followed a long-distance relationship which led to their engagement, around seven years later.
"We met through mutual friends at Andy's uni in Southampton. Hatty, my mate and bridesmaid, and Garry, his school friend and groomsman lived together during newbie in the halls. We met at Hatty's 'hat party' and bonded on the mutual fascination with the band The Goo Goo Dolls and pizza."
To suit the laid-back feel of the day, Becky selected gowns for her bridesmaids, combining floaty pink skirts with sequinned, glamorous bodices. They added silver knot earrings, and sandals in rose gold and wore fresh gypsophila within their hair.
Just as the bride-to-be channeled a relaxed vibe, Andy opted for any more informal groom's look, wearing a bespoke duo of blue trousers and a waistcoat, filled with his initials within the label. His accessories, shoes, tie, and socks were all from. I love the way the soft pink of his tie marries along with the blush bridesmaid dresses and also the embroidery on Becky's gown.
Later on, the party started having a dance to Peter Gabriel's 'The Book of Love' and much more dancing to some playlist, curated by the bride-to-be and groom.
"'The Book of Love' happens to be 'our song' and that we sang it to one another repeatedly on our first holiday together, attempting to remember all of the lyrics. For one of our first Christmases together, I bought Andy a limited-edition vinyl record of the song and that we danced to that particular exact record on our big day. The last line says, 'I like it when you produce things, and you ought to produce wedding rings'."
"The whole day only agreed to be amazing. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and seeing all our family and friends in one place enjoying themselves."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"Don't panic to do the things you want to complete. I had my heart set on the walk on our big day, including our guests. People were just a little confused; 'You want all of your guests in the future with you on the walk?'"
